Employee of the Month for February - Dan Liddicott

Congratulations to Dan Liddicott, IT Support Specialist – Customer Services

Dan received the following nominations:

Mandy McDonald
I’m sending this email to let you know that Dan is a fantastic ambassador for DELT services. He is hard-working, adaptable, helpful, and simply embodies an ethos that any employer would be proud of.

Dan recently supported us with our Plan for Libraries project which saw re-allocation of ICT equipment across the estate and he has worked and communicated with us to ensure that all key milestones were met.

The final piece of work at the newly refurbished Crownhill Library was pretty chaotic but Dan remained unflustered and without having to be asked he offered to come in on the Saturday to finish up before a visit from the Council Leader, Councillor Jordan and Councillor Lynda Bowyer on the Monday morning. This was over and above our expectations and made all the difference to me personally and all the staff at the library.

Dan really is a star and I hope all at DELT value him as such.

I’d like to put Dan Liddicott forward for Employee of the month.

Dan was assisting with the project of the Crownhill Library refurbishment, working by himself all day on the 9th March.

As SSI didn’t manage to finish the electrical work for Dan to complete what was needed for the opening of the library on the Monday, he rearranged his personal time at home to come into the library on the Saturday to complete this work by 1pm for our customer.

Dave Brook
I’d like to nominate Dan for employee of the month for some work that he did on the libraries closure project.

The last part of the project was to install 6 PCs at Crownhill Library after some major refurbishment and the time agreed with the customer was 10:00 Fri morning. When he got there, the internal cabling hadn’t been completed and the library was still a bit of a building site!

The library was due to be formally opened on Monday morning by Cllr Bowyer and it was clear that the refurbishment and fitment works would continue into Saturday. Dan volunteered to give up his Saturday to go back to the library to set up the 6 PCs and to make sure that they were all working ok. This was completed successfully and the library opening ceremony was carried out by Cllr Bowyer as planned.

Feedback form the libraries team about Dan has been consistent throughout the whole project. “Nothing is too much trouble for him” and I think this last example from Crownhill demonstrates that attitude perfectly.

Well done to Dan and to our other worthy nominees:
